St. Agnes & St. Paul's Parish Commissions
Parish Life Chairperson ~ Alice Beaulieu
The responsibilities of the Parish Life Commission are:
(a) To assist in making the parish a community in which persons can come
to know one another, to share their lives and concerns and to find
support for their faith.
(b) To ensure the good communications among all groups in the parish and
to provide effective publicity for parish events.
(c) To initiate and support the growth of mutual understanding and
common action among the different Faiths.
(d) To maintain active programs of reaching out to non-practicing
Catholics and the unchurched.
Worship & Spirituality Chairperson ~ Dottie Brooks
The responsibilities of the Worship & Spirituality Commission are:
(a) To plan the celebration of the Sacraments, especially the Sunday
Mass, with great care, so that they are occasion for communal
prayer that nourish and uplift the assembly.
(b) To teach people how to pray, including the nature of prayer and
the steps in its growth.
(c) To make the Church environment liturgically appropriate.
(d) To educate, inform and update parishioners regarding
liturgical teachings.
Life Long Faith Formation Chairperson ~ Sheila Emery
The responsibilities of the Life Long Faith Formation Commission are:
(a) To provide continuing education and formation for everyone, with
religious education programs that transmit the teaching and traditions
of the Church and contribute to the growth of faith.
(b) To assist parents/guardians in the religious education and faith
formation of their children.
(c) To provide catechesis for the individuals and their families who
are about to celebrate the Sacraments.
Social, Justice, & Peace Commission Chairperson ~ Liz Bates
The responsibilities of the Social Justice & Peace Commission:
(a) To educate the Parish in the teaching of the Church on social justice,
which is an essential part of being a Christian.
(b) To educate the people about particular problems of social justice and
peace in their parish and about other social issues of wider concern.
(c) To investigate and coordinate the Parish response to problems of
social justice on the local, national, and global levels, especially
to the need of the poor, the sick, the oppressed, and the imprisoned.
Finance Commission Chairpersons ~ Al Skolfield
The responsibilities of the Finance Commission are:
(a) To maintain an accurate profile of the Parish, especially in the areas of
population, economy, changing neighborhoods, and industrial growth
and decline.
(b) To educate the Parish about financial priorities and needs.
(c) To stimulate greater financial responsibility by the members of the Parish.
(d) To prepare the annual budget for the coming year.
(e) To assist in the following matters:
disbursement of funds, the preparation of quarterly and annual
financial reports, and the Catholic Charities Appeal.
(f) To oversee the maintenance and replacement of the physical plant of
the Parish.
